Consultant Anaesthetist, Departmental Lead for CPET, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH)

A general anaesthetist with a vascular interest, I also have CPET and pre-assessment sessions. Began CPET in 2005, 75 patients were tested in our first full year, now annually it is over 500 patients and no longer just vascular.
I am an elected committee member of the Vascular Anaesthetic Society of Great Britain and Ireland and have just completed my tenure as treasurer.
My research interest is in physical activity in particular encouraging patients to improve theirs prior to surgery and beyond. South Yorkshire is proving a hard population to crack!
