Jeff Gadsden

Jeff Gadsden is an attending anesthesiologist at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He is the Director of Regional Anesthesia at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, home to the New York School of Regional Anesthesia (NYSORA). He also has a strong interest in education, and is the Residency Program Director at SLR.

Dr. Gadsden graduated with an M.D. in 1999 from Queen's University, Canada, and undertook training in anesthesiology at the University of Toronto and St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He holds fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Anesthesia) and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. After working in both Canada and Australia, he decided to return to New York City to focus on his research and teaching and interests, which include ultrasound-guided nerve blockade, the prevention of injury during regional anesthesia, ambulatory anesthesia and outcomes, and education. Dr. Gadsden has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has lectured widely around the globe.
