Mark Zakowski

Mark hails from both coasts. Having grown up in Los Angeles, he attended Stanford University undergraduate, then opted for a 15-year stint in New York City. Following Medical School at Albert Einstein in the Bronx, he attended NYU for residency in Anesthesiology. Dr. Zakowski stayed to be Director of Obstetric Anesthesia at Bellevue Hospital in NYC. Then he moved back
to be Chief of Obstetric Anesthesiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles since 1996, also serving as Fellowship Director. Dr. Zakowski has served on many committees at the hospital, state and national societies. Dr. Zakowski is Past President, California Society of Anesthesiologist and President of the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology.
